The VOC detection method is also called "qualitative measurement", which can only roughly test the trend, and the consistency is relatively poor, while the electrochemical method is "quantitative measurement", which has high accuracy and good consistency. The formaldehyde sensor of Dart UK is a two-electrode electrochemical sensor, which is realized by the principle of diffusion, so no external sampling hardware is required. When formaldehyde gas is present, a small DC will be generated, and the sensor itself is not Power supply is required, but the current generated requires external data acquisition to turn it into a readable signal.
This product uses British Dart WS-Z type sensor. This type of sensor is very sensitive. Do not use it in strong air convection, such as in front of a fan. It is susceptible to interference from other gases, such as alcohol, perfume, other aldehydes and moldy substances.
